Postgraduate solution for non-named qualificationsPaulWhat do we do with quals like the MCom which have many subjects.
  • We need space to talk about PG (subject) options out of the named masters structure. This needs to be a complete solution with about information, stories, requirements etc.
  • We didn't discuss adding it into UG Areas of Study as Paul and Joe has talked about this already and felt it would degrade the UG experience and bloat the solution in general
  • We discussed having an MCom but then a selector which changed out most of the content based - this was looking like a disticnt possibility for a while.
  • Ultimately the solution we are going to be try is having a PG (subject) area and then all of the various quals that relate to this area e.g. PG Accounting, PG Art History etc.

Enhancement requests for study areas and UG degree pages

Paul has been parking ideas (his and from other people) in two epics, one for improving AoS pages and the other for ug degrees.

 

Search in Navigation pagePaulFrom the Enhancement log for the subject grouping/navigation page we logged a need to improve search to cover key words/other fields. Also need to address Māori with a macron.
  • Need to sort out a fuzzier search version so there are less empty searches - needs to be a balance between no results and too many results no matter what you search.
  • Need to fix that Maori has no results because of the accent.
