New Zealand Studies focuses on historical and cultural topics specific to Aotearoa. Find out how New Zealanders understand their identity—looking at themes that span New Zealand's literary, oral and written histories.

Offered at Victoria through the Stout Research Centre http://www.victoria.ac.nz/stout-centre, New Zealand Studies is available as a postgraduate subject to students doing a Master of Arts or PhD. You’ll complete a thesis on the topic of your choice, that might range from Crown-Māori relations in a certain period, to the development of policing, to a micro-history of a specific event.

You’ll be supervised by internationally recognised academics in a dedicated research environment http://www.victoria.ac.nz/stout-centre/study/phd. Become part of a lively research unit and take part in regular seminar series and opportunities to attend international conferences.
If you want to enhance your research, analytical and communication skills—while contributing to the academic understanding of New Zealand and its people—then New Zealand Studies is a good choice for you.

This subject is only available as a postgraduate topic.

Not a huge issue. But because the banner image is quite dark, the attribution button is quite hard to notice now. Joe Lobotka (Unlicensed) maybe it would be worthwhile adding in a pale border or something to the element?

(I've assigned this to Jane to decide how far down the priority list this would be)
