Video Content Guidelines

We recommend:

• Length: 30-90 seconds
• Format: MP4 but youtube can take range of formats
• We can supply start and end slides with university branding
• Filming so that a clear, still image is available as the thumbnail.

Requirements

• That video is uploaded to youtube in a Victoria channel that isn’t monetised (no ads). We are happy to upload on your behalf to the main Victoria channel.
• Transcript – to ensure the videos are accessible there needs to a transcript. YouTube automatically creates captions but generally you will need to go in to edit them or a transcript can be uploaded. This fulfils both the government accessibility standards for people with a disability and makes the content more accessible to international students who may not understand the accent.

We can go live without the video and then add it in when it is ready.
