Naming people - quote attribution

This is a draft set of 'rules' for what information to include when naming people who have been quoted.  Tania, Elizabeth and Gabe met and come up with this approach-

Students

Ike Turner (new line) Bachelor of Commerce student

Ike Turner, Bachelor of Commerce student in Economics   (Use the major when it adds value or better connects the quote to the page.  Only use the relevant major/s)

Ike Turner (new line) Ngati Kuhungungu, Bachelor of Commerce student in Economics

Jennifer Jones, Master of Commerce student in Taxation

Jennifer Jones, PhD candidate in Biological Sciences

Graduates

Tina Turner, Bachelor of Commerce

Tina Turner, Bachelor of Commerce in Economics

Tina Turner, Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Economics   

Jennifer Jones, PhD in Biological Sciences

Jennifer Jones, PhD in Biological Sciences, Chief Scientist at NIWA (for PG pages only)

Staff - use as little as is relevant to the reader. 

Dr Ted Turner, senior lecturer in Economics    (this is all a 17 year old looking at this page would want to know, full titles can muddy the water)

If the lecturer specifically asks to have their full and proper job title then use it, using the university style

Dr Ted Turner, Director, Graduate Programme in Professional Economics

Notes:

If the student you are quoting is now likely to be, or is, a graduate, leave as 'student' - they were a student when they said it.

Use all tribal afiliations listed (note below though!)

If the name is going to be too long following these rules then try and avoid using the quote. eg someone with with several iwi affiliations, or with three majors that are relevant.
