Following some discussion with Nigel on how to best escalate decision points, and to try and centralise the risks being documented across Confluence the RAID section has been developed
This builds on the central risk register and creates an issue, decision and action log
The use of tasks as noted in the action columns will filter into the central action log
Any use of tasks across the WIPII space will filter into the action log
This requires whole team input and will be reviewed in each team meeting going forward
Analysis & decisions
Reminder for the team to escalate urgent issues/questions ASAP and speak to me rather than wait for responses via Confluence/email etc.
Also to raise any requirements for analysis rather than doing it yourself - Paul and Chrissi could pick this work up
Any blockers?
Nothing raised
Academic terms noted on the decision log and team asked to ensure the current approved terms i.e. course not paper, are used until agreed otherwise.
Open Day
Chrissi
Unable to test at FAD - Fay has offered to contact 1st yr students on our behalf
The team noted that future students are preferred for testing. We may not be able to tap into any contacts that the faculty collect on open day so would need to seek alternative sources.
Topics taxonomy - Andrew will be going round the hub on Friday to get some feedback on the topic groupings.
Noted will ensure not to get in anyones way and keep it short.
No collections for charity, or otherwise
Testing
Paul/Joe
Feedback on wireframe to date - Joe ran through some questions on the programme wireframe.
Discussed how to display the content if a major is not pre-selected
Questioned around how to group content from the plan - Anne suggested 3 main groupings
Discussion on whether we are aiming to provide enough information for a student to enrol, or to be guided onto a student adviser. This will impact the level of detail in the writing so needs resolving ASAP.
Next steps for testing
Wireframe testing - Future students, and potentially 1st yr Arch UG
Postgraduate testing is planned next, but Paul noted that this is linked with International
Topics with one subject
Joe/Sam
How will the topic page adjust/change for topics with only one subject (eg. law, tourism management)?
Where there is only one subject within a topic, Joe suggested removing the menu item subject
No. 2 reviewed - Overhaul 'support' pages for UG degrees
Noted could be something that the core team could develop in parallel
Paul noted that these pages will need to be updated in some way once CSP is rolled out otherwise the content will be incorrect
Risk noted around changing the way in which we provide programme advice in the changes the taxonomy
There was some discussion around the future location of the high level list of 'mega topics'. Discussed could be on the home page of future students, but needs to be confirmed.
