Topic pages that have only one subject

  • Should single subject topics still have a subject tab?
  • Pros and cons - main feedback was around the consistency
      • Currently assuming we keep the subject tab
  • May be some changes as a result of the recent testing
    • In the about tab, expand the subjects section if there is only one subject
  • Introductory text would be key to help explain some of these terms are misunderstood areas

Media on topic pages - are we using current content (videos, stories, images)?

  • Overhead - if sourced from Comms Advisers and Web Admins can we prioritise this?
  • Decisions made and noted below in actions

/wiki/spaces/CON/pages/21823688 - review of the draft process Tash has put together

  • Noted there was no external proof reading and editing in the process
  • Tash has asked for feedback
  • Topics would also include reviews with Careers etc, so this would need to be included
  • Nigel was keen to ensure that the loop round with SME's should be capped at 2 loops where possible
  • Be clear there are 2 opportunities for review
  • The remit needs to be clear
 Joe and Paul

User testing

  • Real variety of students involved in the testing
  • Joe documented what they liked, what was confusing, what they said
    • Bias needs to be identified
  • Joe and Paul will run through the notes and work out what needs to be addressed
  • Some feedback included:
    • The pathways and content at topic and programme level was questioned
      • e.g. if they went directly to the programme page, they wouldn't see the stories or careers information
    • Fun facts were liked
    • The tab menu wasn't well recognised (may be due to the wireframe)

  • Jane Young (Unlicensed) will check with Comms as required to check whether we require approval to use videos which already exist on the topic pages (or elsewhere).  Team to provide a list to Jane.
  • Chrissi Dean (Unlicensed) to add to the decision log that school videos can be used on the topic pages etc. if approved by the schools.
  • Chrissi Dean (Unlicensed) to add to the decision log that current content such as quotes etc, can be added to the topic pages if no editing is required (to minimise overhead)
  • Chrissi Dean (Unlicensed) to add to the decision log that 'fun facts' can be added to the content if they come out of the interview, but do not spend additional time sourcing them.
