| 1.5.2 | Gabe | http://stage.victoria.ac.nz/explore/study-areas/geography/study?subject=geographical-information-systems-and-science | Paul Seiler (Unlicensed) Paul here is my approach to this one - I changed everything after the first two paras. A few quick points/questions in case you have any comments:
Learn to use computer-based systems to explore spatial and geographic data. Create new ways to visually interpret and present this information—on maps and map layers, using smartphones and mobile devices as data viewers, and even through interactive infographics. You'll investigate the ideas behind the creation of these systems and think about the way we can conceptualise spatial problems—from disaster management, to conservation monitoring, to archaeology. Geographic Information Science is only available at postgraduate level. The programmes are taught collectively by Victoria University of Wellington, the University of Canterbury and Auckland University of Technology (AUT). You can study at any one of these locations. Find out more about the programmes on the [Masters in Geographic Information http://www.mgis.ac.nz/] website. For more information about studying GIS at Victoria you can contact the programme coordinator: Dr Mairead de Roiste
