Background

In a review of design patterns from the wireframe it became clear that there are gaps in what we need to complete the Fees page.

In addition having the fees on the programme page is one of the things that makes international messaging more difficult so leaving it out will simplify the international issue.

  1. We need to decide if we are going to delay release of the page as it is?
  2. If we are going to delay the release what are we doing in the first release?

Outstanding work needed before go live

  1. Intro paragraph - need to write this block, would be standard across all
  2. Domestic Fees by Degree - we need to create the content which is going to back the fees page. We do have fee estimates which are currently listed on the domestic fees page. http://www.victoria.ac.nz/study/student-finance/fees/domestic
  3. Financial Support - need to write this block, it is pointing to existing pages on Future Students. Would be standard for all.
  4. When fees are due - this is about when in the cycle they need to pay their fees, needs to be written. Should be clearer this is domestic information.
  5. Scholarships - we have already made the choice we are only going to refer to the Excellence and Achiever Scholarships and then point to the scholarships database. This content needs to be written and then pointed to the existing scholarships search page.

Possible solutions (feel free to discuss more below)

  1. Do the outstanding work and go live with the page as is and a more prominent message for international students.
  2. Change the content on the tab so that it isn't degree specific. This would mean writing most content but:
  3. Remove the fees tab altogether. Could include some information on the about tab:

If we did this then we would need to feel confident about where they are going next and that we aren't confusing the journey and jumping them away from requirements and applying.
