Delay producing international switcher
Background
We can't produce the international switcher in time to make the deadline. The current switcher has been faulty and this has taken away from our development time.
Switcher is described in WIP-698
We will be able to produce that switcher in April.
Decision
There is a chance international students will find the new content rather than the international programme pages. This is the situation with the existing content but they don’t include fees information and do usually have an international link. Because most of the information is still suitable for international we will:
- strengthen the language around fees to ensure it is ‘domestic fees estimate’ then links through to the fees page on homesite which has an international link.
- Ensure entry requirements links through to the admissions page which has a link for international students.
Timing: not switching international to the new content until all of the undergraduate topics are live. It would be very complex to create an interim solution as your current navigation is very different. It would also mean that your future students are seeing two different styles of pages which could be a confusing experience. The content is due to be finished by the end of April so it should align with when the switcher is ready.
