Slideshow Guidelines

Image size: 3200 pixels wide x 1800 pixels high. We can work with images of other shapes and sizes by adding a plain border. You can see a sample of this on the following draft Design page:

For each image we need to write a caption and alt text, to do this we need:

• For individual work/project – name of work or project and/or brief description – may include award info, year, what degree they were/are studying, person’s name.
• Group work/project – name of work or project and/or brief description – may include award info, year, what course it relates to
• Spaces – name of the space and a brief description, year image was shot
• People – their name, what they are studying, brief description of what the images shows, year image was shot
• Artwork – often this is prescribed by the artist. In general at a minimum it includes the name of the work, artists name, year produced

Please note

• You need written permission to use images of student work or artworks.
• If the photograph heroes a person, or a few people, then you need their permission (form attached). If they are a staff member you don’t need to tell them but it is polite to let them know.
• If a photo is taken in a public place and no-one is heroed then it should be fine to use the image without further permissions
