In Scope

Deliverables in the five areas listed below will support the other WIP II work packages. While retaining a degree of timing or delivery independence, realising the WIP benefits will require the following to be addressed.

Governance and resourcing: This includes forming working groups, assigning roles and responsibilities, writing documents and getting these approved.
Strategic planing: Help the Faculties and schools develop strategic plans with set goals.
Channel strategies: At the University-level'.
Reporting and analytics: Implementing the software and associated reporting to users (with the "hooks" on each page being done within the other work areas of WIP II.
Education: Training for those transitioning to the responsive templates, or where the templates have been modified, or for any new policies, principles, standards, processes. This might also include the training on Edit+, depending on the answer to an open question. Wider training on web best practice (where not recently delivered) to support wider understanding of the Victoria web channel.

Out of scope

The following areas are out of scope:

Search improvements: Any improvements or changes to the site's search functionality.

Way we work

While delivering the in-scope items the way we work will:

Ensure alignment with the University's strategic plan;
Create and maintain strong working relationships with key staff;
Place user requirements at least as high as the organisation's requirements; and
Allow empirical data (where it exists) to influence our decisions, both on how to work as well as the priorities.

When is the best time to upgrade the web platform to Matrix 5 (which would allow us to use Edit+ and train users in this while training them in the new responsive templates)?
Should improving the reporting and analytics be in scope for WIP II or done as BAU? Note that this will be costly to implement across the university.
