Qualifications covered

Enrolments are accepted in to either of the two qualifications.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Psychology Practice is a post-masterate qualification, with most students completing the Master of Educational Psychology prior to admission to the Postgraduate Diploma.

Entry requirements

To be accepted into this programme you'll need:

  • A Master of Educational Psychology at this University, or a similar qualification elsewhere with an average of grade of B+ or above for all coursework
  • At least 45 approved points from courses in psychology at the 200 or 300 level with an average grade of B or above for all coursework and
  • Acceptance by the Associate Dean (Students) of the Faculty of Education as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.

  • Students who wish to enroll for this programme but don't meet some the entry requirements should contact the Faculty of Education to discuss their options.

Programme requirements

Complete at least 120 points.

Complete 1,500 hours of supervised full-time practical work in two approved institutions.

  • A Bachelor's degree with a major in Education, Psychology, Education and Psychology, or an approved teacher education degree, with an average of grade of B or above for all coursework and
  • Acceptance by the Associate Dean (Students) of the Faculty of Education as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.
