  • Added a duration/intensity (that really come in to its own for part-time only qualifications and PG (where there is a specified maximum duration as well as the standard full-time minimum)

Duration/intensity

The BTM represents three years of full-time study and may also be studied part-time.


Entry Requirements

To be accepted into the BTM you need to:

  • achieve University Entrance for at least one of the admission types.

Degree  requirements

  • Total of 360 points required, of which:
    • At least 180 points must be at 200 and 300 level.
      • Of the 180 points at least 75 points must be at 300 level.
  • Complete ten tourism courses:
    • TOUR 101
    • TOUR 104
    • TOUR 108
    • TOUR 230
    • TOUR 240
    • TOUR 250
    • TOUR 320
    • Three further courses from TOUR 300-399.
  • Complete five commerce courses:
    • Three courses at 100 level from:
      • Either ACCY 111 or ACCY 130
      • ECON 130
      • Either FCOM 111 or COML 111
      • One course from:
        • INFO 101
        • INFO 141
        • INFO 151
      • MARK 101
      • MGMT 101
      • Either QUAN 102 or STAT 193
    • Two courses at 200 level from:
      • ACCY 223
      • COML 203
      • HRIR 201
      • IBUS 201
      • One course from:
        • INFO 201
        • INFO 226
        • INFO 231
      • Either MARK 203 or MARK 214
      • One course from:
        • MGMT 202
        • MGMT 205
        • MGMT 206
      • Either PUBL 201 or PUBL 207
      • QUAN 201
  • Complete further courses worth 90 points, including 15 points from 200 and 300-level courses from:
    • Courses listed for the BTM or BCom
    • Courses listed for the BA subjects: ANTH, ASIA, CHIN, DEAF, ENVI, EURO, FREN, GEOG, GERM, HIST, ITAL, JAPA, MAOR, PASI, POLS, PSYC, SAMO, and SPAN
    • Other approved complementary subjects.
