Master of Tourism Management
Customer Support Specialist at EventMobi in Berlin, Germany

Pull quote: "Lecturers are liberal-minded and support you during your studies."

Globe-trotting career
Since I left Victoria I’ve been travelling around the world gaining work experience with a leading international tourism organisation and working at one of the Fortune 500 companies. I finally moved back home to Berlin recently and have settled down to work at a start-up company that specialises in event apps.

Feeding a passion
Victoria University really helped me in my career by shaping me to become a person who is passionate about tourism—someone who is open-minded about new topics and always curious and on the hunt for something new to learn.

Great place to study
I loved studying at Victoria because it is a place where you can thrive to become the very best you can be. The lecturers are liberal-minded and support you during your studies. Subjects are multifaceted, and fellow students become friends for life.

Wellington was a great place to study because it really is the coolest little capital in the world.

Further, one one topic page (maybe not this one) I was served an advertisement before the video played.

Either we copy the video to our marketing channel or offer the school assistance to mange the settings on theirs better.

Expand / collapse on 'Second year' and 'Third year'.

If possible, roll up second and third with a control to expand if required.

Important information: Related degrees need to be written out in full

Somebody needs to remove links to related degrees. Andrew?

And writers need to stop adding them in to new pages they write. Gabe?

Note from gabe - these are not actually links - they are supposed to be tooltips that expand to the full name of the degree.

Gabe Ryan (Unlicensed) Alida Steemson (Unlicensed) Paul Seiler (Unlicensed) These related degrees are now tooltips, however they aren't in the latest version of the tooltips word document. Is this something we could give Shenbo to add in?

We use the same fact twice, the ' in 11'. What happened to the '3.1 million overseas visitors' fact that I see in Gather?

reply from gabe -

Andrew can you please change the top fun fact back to the Gather text:

3.1 million

The number of visitors to New Zealand from overseas in 2015.

http://www.tourismnewzealand.com/news/december-holiday-arrivals-wrap-up-a-year-of-record-growth/ Tourism New Zealand, 2015

I think there was an error processing number 4 above, that I didn't pick up on. Also to note most funfacts will require a source now so you may get a few confluence notes adding sources.

Our fun fact of 10 minutes is inaccurate: Google Maps says that it takes 24 minutes to walk from VBS to Te Papa.

reply from gabe - Andrew can you please change the funfact to say

20 minutes

The most time it will take you to walk from where you'll study to Te Papa Tongarewa—the national museum, the two cruise ship terminals, and Wellington’s theatre and restaurant quarter.

PS i google mapped the Te papa walk and it said 18 or 20 mins.

Under Jessica Wilson's story please replace the paragraph under Plum Job with the following

Plum job

"In 2012 I began a role with Positively Wellington Tourism (PWT) as International Marketing Coordinator. Part of my role involved hosting international media and trade delegates while they were in Wellington. I also assisted with the creation of marketing collateral and helping spread the word about ‘the coolest little capital in the world’. In 2014, I became Events Marketing Executive at PWT, helping promote some of the major events that come to Wellington, like the World of WearableArt® Awards Show."
