Section heading: Master of Environment Studies (MEnvStud)Development Studies

Make section heading link to new qual page

Section content:

"A Master's is a professionally or academically oriented research degree. It consists of two parts and is normally completed in two calendar years. Part 1 (the first year) involves two core courses and a further 90 points of the student's choice. Part 2 (the second year) is a full-time research project, leading to a thesis. The degree may also be completed in up to 4 years part time.Development Studies seeks to explain the enormous differences in peoples’ living standards across the world and to do something about them. The programme examines the theories and practices associated with inequalities in world development, using multi-disciplinary approaches. It is concerned with the processes and relationships between people and institutions at different scales – from local, small-scale communities, through to national government agencies and international organisations."
