Relationship between qualifications

  • Enrolments are only accepted in to the Master of Professional Accounting.
  • Staircasing allows movement down, but only in exceptional circumstances.

 

Master of Professional Accounting (MPA)

Length of study: 4-5 trimesters of full-time study or normally 8 if studied part-time

Entry requirements

Students are unable to enrol in this programme. Rather, it is an early-exit qualification for candidates enrolled in the MPA but need to finish their studies short of the full course requirements for the MPA.

Programme requirements

Complete at least 120 points.

Complete eight courses:

  • MMPA 501
  • MMPA 502
  • Two courses from:
    • MMPA 506
    • MMPA 507
    • MMPA 508
    • MMPA 509
    • MMPA 510
  • Four further courses from MMPA 503-530

Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (PGCertPA)

Students are unable to enrol in the PGCertPA. Rather, it is an early-exit qualification for candidates enrolled in the MPA but need to finish their studies short of the full course requirements for the MPA.

Complete at least 60 points.
