Entry requirements

To be accepted into this programme you'll need:

  • An appropriate Bachelor's degree with an average grade of B- or above and
  • Acceptance by the Programme Director as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.

Important information

  • Students who wish to enrol for this programme but don't meet some the entry requirements should contact the Programme Director or Administrator to discuss their options.
  • "Appropriate degrees' are usually those in Commerce or Business. The essence is that students will require university-level micro- and macro-economics, statistics and mathematics, to at least 100 level.

Complete at least 180 points.

Complete three core courses:

  • MMPE 501
  • MMPE 502
  • MMPE 503

Complete five further courses from MMPE 500-599.

Complete one course from:

  • MMAF 501
  • MMAF 502
  • MMAF 510
  • Another approved course from MMAF 500-599

  2. What does approved mean? What is the process? For so few courses to select from is another approval actually required?

  • A Bachelor's degree with an average grade of B- or above, or demonstrated satisfactory progress in a postgraduate economics qualification and
  • Acceptance by the Programme Director as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.

Important information

  • Satisfactory progress in postgraduate economics means comparable to the PGCertPE, as judged by the Associate Dean (Students) of the Victoria Business School.
