Entry requirements
- Before enrolment, a candidate for the GDipTchg(Primary) shall have:
- completed a degree of a tertiary institution in New Zealand or an equivalent qualification from an overseas tertiary institution;
- demonstrated through the assessment exercise the qualities necessary for a satisfactory teacher; and
- been accepted by the Associate Dean (Students) of the Faculty of Education as a candidate for the diploma.

- Students who wish to enroll for the GDipTchg(Primary) but don't meet some the entry requirements should contact the Faculty of Education to discuss their suitability for a possible exemption.
