Programme structure

The Master of Information Studies (MIS) is integrated with the Postgraduate Certificate and the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Studies, which provide stepping stones to the full MIS for those who are uncertain whether they can commit to the entire programme. This nesting also provides for early exit qualifications for those unable or unwilling to complete the full MIS programme.

Before enrolment, a candidate for the MIS shall have:completed a

  • A Bachelor's degree with Honours , or a Master's degree ; andand
  • been accepted Acceptance by the Programme Director of Information Studies programme as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.
