Comments

  • Made all changes requested by Johan and Keith on 16/2/16
  • Ensured consistent use of 'or' (rather than 'and') in lists of subject codes making a pool of courses for selection from.
  • While there are still quite a few outstanding questions and issues these are now with the Faculty to work through and address. I will wait (and assist as required) until a way forward is known. While there are many instances they come down to a few causes:
  • Making explicit to a reader how they get 'approval': Is there a process, a person, a role or an office.
  • Tightening up on alternative courses: Either stay silent (and handle verbally in course advice) or list them. Try to be consistent where possible (e.g. numeracy requirements).
  • Be explicit on known pre-requisite issues: If commonly taken 200- and 300-level courses are likely to have more onerous pre-requisite requirements than the degree and major then state these in the supplementary information, or (even better) change the requirementsv2.3
  • Minor edits to render correctly on the web.
  • Have decided that the requirements are 'good enough for use in WIP' as they are, and can be improved over time as the faculty deal with the various issues.
  • Have decided that 'typical' degree examples don't work well for this degree so will publish 2 or 3 specific examples when we do degree examples.
